Services Utilization Monitoring System (SUMS)
Summary
This project was launched to support the Mayor Ed Rendell's Children and Youth
Cabinet's initiative, "Taking Prevention to Scale" and resulted in an innovative
social indicators system to track the utilization and/or outcome of children's
and families' services. The purpose of SUMS was to promote sound policy, planning
and program evaluation for Philadelphia's children and families by making
accurate data and easy to use mapping, reporting and charting tools available
over the internet.
