Provides real estate tax balances on-line. You need to know the property’s Board of Revisions of Taxes (BRT) account number, which can be obtained through the CML’s parcelBase.


Community Legal Services, Inc.

CLS’s mission is to help low income residents obtain justice by providing them advice and representation in civil legal matters, advocating for their legal rights, and conducting community education about legal issues.


The Foundation Center

The Foundation Center’s website lists potential grantmakers, provides resources on grantwriting, and also hosts interactive online forums about funding and the grant process. In addition to the online resources, the Foundation Center website lists foundation center sites throughout the country, where individuals can search the organization’s vast listings of funding opportunities.

Hallwatch is a source for public information on real estate, as well as City Council’s activities and other civic information. Some services are free; other pieces of information are available only to subscribers.

The Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC) website provides visitors with access to resources and curriculum guides on affordable housing, community and economic development, organizational development, and planning and land use. The website also hosts online interactive forums with experts discussing a variety of topics.


Neighborhood Transformation Initiative Homeowner Programs

Services and support for existing homeowners and new homebuyers, including information on homebuyer assistance, homeowner loans and grants, and anti-predatory lending.


Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations (PACDC)

This website serves as a forum for community development corporations and neighborhood civic associations. It lists policy updates, funding opportunities, and employment openings. The website also divides the city by census tract and provides census data for the particular tract and the city as a whole. Moreover, the website features links to sources of properties within Philadelphia, including the sheriff sale website.

PCDC works to revitalize neighborhoods by increasing the amount of available capital available to small business owners in low/moderate income neighborhoods. Their website includes information on commercial corridors and services available to small business owners.
